The Party.

We will be having our reception on the Gallery Lawns at Bishop Museum. Great food, drinks and people. That's our goal. :)

Fettuccine Alfredo
BBQ Chicken Calzone
Pepperoni Pizza
Carne Asada Pizza

Dobash Cake
White Cake

Various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Centerpieces.

I want to evoke a cozy, casual, intimate feel so I am going with mostly candles for the centerpieces. The tables will be 8' long with a white tablecloth and purple runner. On top of the runner will be various vases with candles and orange roses submerged in water.

Lucky for me I found all the vases and roses at WalMart for a very reasonable price. Now I just need to purchase the floating and pillar candles. My grandma will be making the runners from the same fabric as the bridesmaid dresses so it will match perfectly!

Favors/Escort Cards.

We chose to make CDs for everyone. We like music, we have made plenty of mix CDs for each other and thought it was the most fitting for us.

These will also do double duty and serve as escort cards. Two birds with one stone isn't so bad ;)

Serving Set & Toasting Glasses.

My parents were lovely enough to purchase our serving set and toasting glasses! The serving set is from The Knot and the glasses are from Things Remembered.

Guestbook.

Found the frames and some paper for the background! I think they came out pretty cool. It seems that all the Halloween paper out there is purple, orange and black which not only matches the wedding, but our personal taste as well. And that Horrorpops record will be waaay neat-o on our wall!
We made a trip to our local used record store and bought some records to have people sign. I think 6 records may be enough for all of our guests. The Horrorpops record was way too cool to pass up. Plus I think it will really tie everything in when we put these on display in our home. :) Now we have to find the frames for these.

Table Numbers.

I ended up painting all the clothespins black, and then glued the velvet damask paper on the outside panels. For the sparkle we added some purple and orange "bling". I think they look pretty snazzy.
INSPIRATION: Chris found this over-sized clothespin at Ben Franklin. We would use these on the tables to hold the table number photos.

Update - 11/7/09

We finally got around to our photoshoot with Wolfgang!
The first setback was the numbers. The ones we originally bought (see below) were waaaay too small and didn't show up in the pics. Plus Wolfgang started to eat them and that wasn't good! So we ended up finding some large styrofoam numbers at Flora-Dec and painted them purple on one side.
Once that was done, of course the weather wouldn't cooperate! Every time we had free time to shoot it was too dark, or rainy! Thank goodness this weekend we finally had a free minute during the day. The light was great, and he was pretty mellow since he was worn out from being groomed in the morning!
Of course, no where on this island are there large wooden numbers when you need them. So instead we found these smaller, puzzle piece numbers. I like that they are all colorful. Hopefully they will make the pics more fun.
